what's here: COMMUNITY SERVICES
Community Services
Great communities don't just happen. They require forethought and cooperation. Verrado is governed by two non-profit entities, both responsible for maintaining the integrity of our community.
Verrado Assembly
The Verrado Assembly was created to facilitate and promote effective community relations and neighborhood activities. Working closely with local health care providers, educational institutions and businesses, their endeavors include: conducting community events and social activities, and supporting the creation of organizations that share special interests, such as clubs, sports teams and volunteer organizations.
Meet Todd Hornback, Executive Director, Verrado Assembly
A recognized expert in community-building, Todd is a highly sought-after speaker and trainer on the topic. From heading a grassroots community organization to leading a statewide effort to increase the capacity and business acumen of Arizona's nonprofit sector, Todd brings a wide array of experience and innovation that will help realize Verrado's vision of a healthy, productive community.
Guided by resident’s interests, the Community Life team establishes an exciting calendar of social, civic and educational programs. They serve as the central point of communications, facilitating creative information sharing through verrado.net, our community intranet, our community newsletter and interactive town meetings.
Verrado Community Association
The Verrado Community Association, Inc. is our homeowner association. It is a nonprofit organization governed by a Board of Directors currently appointed by DMB Associates, Inc. The Association is responsible for maintenance of common areas and other areas benefiting the community, including parks and trails.
Verrado.net
As a resident of Verrado, you'll have access to verrado.net, the community intranet. It supports interactive communication within the community via personalized email and message boards. As an online community, verrado.net allows clubs and organizations to plan upcoming events and post information at dedicated areas on the site.
Strong relationships with community partners have made a huge contribution to the success of Verrado and those relationships will continue to play a big role in the future. We're proud to be associated with the following:
Summit Community Church
Summit Community Church recently purchased 7.1 acres of land from DMB Associates, Inc. in Verrado® to become the first church to acquire land in the picturesque community.
The site, located at the Southwest corner of Indian School Road and Sunrise Lane, will be the home of Summit’s worship center as well as an early childhood development center and preschool. Plans are still being finalized, but construction is expected to begin later in 2009.
“We have been worshiping at Verrado High School for nearly two years now,” said Pastor Nate Schaus, “We are proud to take this next step toward a permanent location down the street in Verrado®, which will allow us to connect even more with the community.”
Cox Communications
Cox offers the most technologically advanced and reliable products and services in the telecommunications industry. A full suite of communications products and services are available through Cox to Verrado residents, including Cox Digital Cable, Cox Digital Telephone, and Cox High Speed Internet service. Their goal is to be the most trusted provider of communication and entertainment services.
