Verrado's Holiday Celebrations
Special events bring neighbors and friends together
It’s that time of year again and the holiday spirit among Verrado residents is in full swing.
On December 8th, more than 2,000 Verrado residents and their guests gathered in Verrado’s Village Green to celebrate the 8th Annual Hometown Holidays Tree Lighting Celebration. The festive evening included local entertainment provided by the Anderson Institute of Music, horse-drawn wagon rides, Santa’s Village, warm holiday treats, cookie decorating, real snow to play in, and a holiday gift fair by Verrado’s Village Sport & Heath Club. Verrado resident, 14-year-old Anthony Totri, founder of Shorty’s Bike Foundation, had the honor of turning on the tree lights for the first time this holiday season.
Continuing on with the holiday celebrations, on Sunday, December 11th, six Verrado residents opened up their festively decorated homes for the First Annual Verrado Home Tour. All proceeds from the event were shared with various non-profit organizations including Owl Love You Forever, Water is Life, and the Palm Valley Church. The event was a great success and was met with widespread appreciation from Verrado residents with accolades including, “We are so amazed at the great events in Verrado” and “I have never seen a community more engaged in Christmas!”
Known for its warm and inviting community spirit, Verrado is fast becoming one of the most sought after communities in the West Valley.
