As health insurance costs and deductibles rise, a new program is disrupting the way families approach traditional healthcare. Main Street Medical recently opened October 5th, 2020 near Blue Daisy Salon to provide a unique solution called Direct Primary Care (DPC). This monthly membership program bypasses medical insurance with a small monthly fee ($20 for children, $75 for adults) that covers primary care services such as routine and urgent care, annual physical exams, minor procedures, on-site labs, EKG’s and other on-site testing. Any scans, lab work or medications prescribed are billed at the time of service at cost, plus a small administration fee. The DPC model also minimizes wait times and provides up to 45 minutes for a comprehensive visit with Dr. Cynthia Reed, Main Street Medical’s primary physician.
