Committed to Education

Verrado schools share a high performance ranking and national recognition. They also share the values that make our community so special. This translates into tons of parent involvement, teacher dedication, and community commitment to life-long learning from reputable early childhood development to exceptional high school education.

Educational facilities at Verrado are uniquely designed to reflect the character of traditional schools, while accommodating the innovative use of technology and teaching that extends beyond the classroom. Best of all, our schools are just a short walk from so many of our neighborhoods.

Verrado schools lie within three school districts: Litchfield Elementary School District, Agua Fria High School District, and Saddle Mountain Unified School District. For more information and a map of the school district boundaries in Verrado, download the Verrado School Guide.

Verrado middle schools also offer a variety of after-school programs and clubs, including National Junior Honor Society, Art, Student Council and Book Club.

High School

Verrado High School is an innovative school focused on promoting rigor through a relevant curriculum and positive relationships. The school’s educational model is based on a small-school, intimate learning environment that creates “schools-within-schools.” VHS supports the Agua Fria High School District’s mission of “All Students College Ready” and in 2016 was recognized by US News Best High Schools national list.

One of the fastest-growing early childhood development providers in the U.S., The Goddard School provides year-round, high quality education programs focused on building strong, balanced foundational skills for children aged six weeks to six years old. Family-run, co-owners Nicole and Matt Bigham and Beth and Vince Valentio live in Verrado.
