The Verrado community has many exciting volunteer opportunities through one of the Verrado Assembly’s core Giving Tree events. On April 13th and 14th, the Summit Community Church is coordinating the 3rd Annual Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) MobilePack event at the Verrado High School. For those interested, there are many ways to get involved.
FMSC is currently in the fundraising stage with the goal of raising enough money ($33,000) to buy all of the ingredients to reach this year’s goal of packing 150,000 meals. In just a few short weeks, FMSC will be looking for volunteers to sign up to pack the meals – they are looking for 750 volunteers to work 2-hour shifts.
On April 7, Verrado Resident Helen O’Grady is coordinating the Feed My Starving Children silent auction at the Verrado Founder’s Day picnic. For ways to get involved on the committee, or to pledge an item for the auction, contact Helen at firstname.lastname@example.org.
For those who want to get involved in this fantastic cause, the possibilities are endless. The Summit Community Church is encouraging anyone who wants to get involved to join the fundraising team or form one of their own by clicking here.
