Sure, we might not get snow here in Phoenix, but that doesn’t mean we don’t love celebrating the holidays just as much as everyone else. It does however mean that you can focus on joining in on all of the fun holiday traditions instead of worrying about digging your car out of the snow.
No matter where you are though, it doesn’t really feel like the holidays ’til the lights go up around town, and the Phoenix area is full of opportunities to get in the holiday spirit with some spectacular light displays.
Although AZ Central has shared over 100 places to check out holiday lights throughout the Valley, we wanted to share one that we think is an absolute must-see. One of our favorite traditions for this time of year is the ZooLights at the Phoenix Zoo, which features over 700 sparkling displays, 3.8 million lights, and most importantly, the chance to spot some incredible animals sharing in the holiday cheer.
Running through January 11, this after dark event is one you don’t want to miss. Purchase tickets in advance, and you could save a few dollars that could go towards a ride on a camel, a visit to Stringray Bay touch tank, or a photo with Santa.
