Chicken Dish at Tempo Urban BistroIt’s finally here – Arizona Restaurant Week! For one week in the fall, Arizona’s finest dining spots collaborate to create special prix-fixe menus for guests to try out new destinations and to connect with favorites.

Buckeye’s own Tempo Urban Bistro will be featuring an incredible menu at www.arizonarestaurantweek.com from Sept 19 – 28 for guests to try a three course bounty. Steven Maynard has quickly gained a reputation as a chef focused on fresh, local foods, craft beers and music/art to create a destination restaurant in the heart of Verrado. Reviewers and local diners alike agree that their combination of international favorites and familiar dishes blend for together to make a family favorite.

My pick would be the fried goat cheese to start, the cast iron NY Strip and the ricotta cheese cake! What are you having?

FIRST COURSE
FRIED GOAT CHEESE AND ROASTED BEET SALAD
balsamic glaze, mixed greens

TRIO OF FRIED SEAFOOD
sweet pepper slaw, sriracha cocktail sauce

LOBSTER BISQUE
silky cream, sherry

SECOND COURSE
PAN SEARED SCALLOPS
sweet pea risotto

CAST IRON GRILLED NEW YORK STRIP STEAK
herb butter basted with sour cream & bacon potato wedges

HERB ROASTED AIRLINE CHICKEN
wild mushroom barley, fava beans, and broccolini

EGGPLANT TOWER
fried eggplant, house made mozzarella, fresh fettuccini
marinara sauce

THIRD COURSE
BLACK FOREST PANNA COTTA
RICOTTA CHEESE CAKE
FLAN

All across the Valley, chefs are drawing up special menus for the week so guests can try out new dining destinations. The $33 and $44 pricing for three course meals (with and without wine pairings) make these elegant restaurants affordable and we hope will inspire you to try someplace new like Tempo!

Keeping the Local First Vibe Going!
Last week, Verrado’s Main Street hosted its first Local First Arizona mixer and more than 40 guests gathered in Buckeye to explore the unique and delicious offerings in downtown Verrado. Local businesses infuse millions of dollars into our state’s economy every year. In addition to the tax revenue and employment, these local businesses are what make our communities unique and personal. Diners identify with their favorite local chef or breakfast joint. We love our local hair and nail salons. Many of us love to argue about our favorite local pizza places (mine is Grazie!) and those are the places and people that bring our neighborhoods to life.

Verrado is a proud member of Local First Arizona and we support the ‘buy local’ movement.

Special thanks to Mayor Jackie Meck and Vice Mayor Eric Orsborn for their attendance and engagement with this special evening. Mayor Meck, our city’s best ambassador, showcased Buckeye’s positive attributes for businesses, shoppers, and residents alike. We were honored to have him with us!
