Excitement is growing as we gear up for Verrado’s 10th Founder’s Day Weekend. Founder’s Day is a tradition that celebrates the past, present and future of Verrado with residents and partners who make it unique, and an opportunity for the community to create a lasting legacy.

This resident-only, weekend-long event allows residents to register on verrado.net so they can take a peek at the festivities held throughout the weekend.
The festivities kick off on Friday, March 27 during the Cocktail Party at The Verrado Golf Club®. Put on your dancing shoes and get ready to rock the night away with sounds of live band, Shining Star. Celebrate with your friends and neighbors over tasty eats and favorite drinks. Fun surprises are planned throughout the evening. Dress to impress in cocktail attire and be sure to register for a reduced rate; price increases on March 11.
It’s no secret that Verrado is full of residents who enjoy an active lifestyle, so Saturday morning gets folks up and moving during the Heritage Run starting at the Grand Lawn. Three non-competitive timed runs for all-ages and fitness levels will take residents on a tour through the Heritage District. Enjoy hot pancakes after crossing the finish line, served up by Buckeye Fire Fighter Charities and Feed My Starving Children volunteers; donations accepted.
Still hungry? Come on down to Main Street and grab a seat on the patios of Grazie and Tempo and witness the transformation of Main Street Saturday evening. Be sure to check out the event signage for the line up of the Resident Variety Show and the fun activities being hosted by our community partners that evening. Over the last decade we have had some amazing artists on the Main Stage:
‘05 B-52’s
‘06 Train
’07 Blues Traveler
’08 Beach Boys
’10 Big Bad Voodoo Daddy
’11 The Romantics
’12 Andy Grammar
’13 Steven Page
’14 Rick Springfield
And this year Sugar Ray will rock the Village Green!
Stick around after the concert for Tempo’s after party, but don’t stay out too late because the Community Picnic starts at 11 AM on Sunday. Bring your a-game to help your neighborhood win the title of “Most Spirited Neighborhood.” You’ll have plenty of opportunities to win Neighborhood Spirit Award points by participating in the many activities hosted by groups, clubs and partners. What would a picnic be without some friendly competition? Join the BBQ Rib, Chili Cook-off, and Bean Bag Toss Competitions to score some serious award points. Enjoy entertainment from our favorite DJ and grab some tasty BBQ fare cooked up by Bashas’. Don’t forget to wear your neighborhood t-shirt and jump in the Community Photo at 1:00 PM.
Don’t forget to register for events and purchase your Neighborhood T-shirt and Legacy Bricks before the deadlines. Founder’s Day Commemorative T-shirts will be for sale at The Center on Main™ starting March 23, at the Heritage Run, and during the Block Party on Main Street.
This will definitely be the party of the year you won’t want to miss!
