Founders Day Weekend at Verrado

Throughout the weekend of March 31st, Verrado celebrated its 7th Annual Founder’s Day celebration with neighbors coming together in celebration of the Verrado community’s unique heritage. Known as Verrado’s biggest party of the year, this year’s Founder’s Day celebration was a huge success with the highest attendance across the board.

Verrado friends and neighbors enjoyed martinis and hors d’oeuvres under the stars at the Friday Night Cocktail Party at the Raven Golf Club at Verrado. The live band and dueling pianos had event attendees singing and dancing.

There were dozens of fun games and activities for all at the Village Club’s Saturday morning Family Rock ‘n’ Walk where Neighbors were walking, running, skating and scooting from start to finish.

The Verrado community was on its feet at our Saturday Night Block Party on Main Street. Twenty resident performance acts sang, danced, and played…strutting their talent in the Resident Variety Show hosted by Anderson Institute of Music. The show ended with a Verrado first: a surprise “flash mob” with over 100 dancers groovin’ in choreographed unison in the Village Green crowd.

And of course, Andy Grammer rocked the Village Green stage! He sang on the Green, took two lucky fans on stage, and signed autographs after the show. His high-energy was infectious!

Family friendly traditions and competitions were the name of the game at Sunday’s Community Picnic in Founders Park. Visit www.facebook.com/verrado for more Founder’s Day pictures and information.
