Brings more commercial conveniences and services
Fry’s Marketplace is coming to Village Grove at Verrado, anchoring our community’s newest commercial center at the corner of Jackrabbit Trail and Indian School Road.
Part of the reputable and national Kroger grocery retail family, Fry’s long ago identified the 20-acre commercial center with 167,000 sf of retail space as the site to open its Marketplace. DMB Commercial, in partnership with W.M. Grace Companies and Fry’s collaborated on a site plan that closed escrow on February 13, 2017.
Fry’s is committed to doing business in Arizona. With over 120 grocery store locations already open across the state, Fry’s is looking forward to opening in Verrado to serve Buckeye and the greater West Valley.
Construction is expected to begin soon for the approximately 123,000 sf Fry’s Marketplace at Village Grove at Verrado.
“It’s exciting to have Fry’s at the doorstep of Verrado,” said Mike Burke, Senior Vice President of Commercial for DMB. “With Main Street, Marketside and now Village Grove, there’s a lot more options for Verrado residents to meet their daily shopping, service and dining needs.”
With Fry’s getting ready to open its doors, many other commercial tenants plan to open up in Village Grove at Verrado: Great Clips, a nail salon and veterinarian, as well as Pizza Hut and Burger King. More businesses are expected to announce their plans to open at Village Grove in the near future.
“Verrado is growing, and so are the retail options that our residents need and want,” said Todd Hornback, Director for DMB Community Life and Verrado resident. “In Verrado, we’re fortunate to have the best of both worlds for close to home services with a vibrant Main Street at the heart of our community and two commercial centers at the entry to Verrado.”
As construction begins on Village Grove at Verrado, the City of Buckeye will be making some improvements to accommodate the anticipated increase in traffic. This includes adding a traffic signal and widening the intersection at Jackrabbit Trail and Indian School Road, as well as widening Jackrabbit Trail to two southbound lanes on the commercial frontage and widening Indian School Road to three westbound lanes along the commercial frontage.
