Verrado Giving TreeThe spirit of giving in Verrado is an important part of the community heritage and legacy. In just a few short years, residents and community partners brought this vision of giving to life.

Today, philanthropy is a cherished element of Verrado’s community lifestyle. The Verrado Assembly’s Giving Tree program – a reflection of Verrado’s nature of giving – began with a handful of likeminded residents committed to philanthropic initiatives.

The first charity event associated with The Giving Tree was the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Buckeye in 2007, bringing together a variety of stakeholders – from both Verrado and outside communities – in the fight against cancer.

In subsequent years, several outstanding fundraisers joined the effort including the Joy of Giving Celebration which collects toys, clothing and food for local families in need during the holiday season.

Today, Verrado is extending a new branch of The Giving Tree program, allowing Verrado’s caring spirit to grow even stronger. The Assembly, through its nonprofit partners, will provide easily accessible and diverse opportunities for the spirit of giving in all residents to flourish through volunteerism and philanthropic initiatives. This program will play an integral role in unleashing residents’ volunteer and philanthropic energy in, around and beyond our community.
