The Vic Bar + Kitchen now openThe day is finally here, it’s time to welcome The Vic Bar + Kitchen to the Valley’s growing restaurant scene. Headed up by Executive Chef Robert Douglas, The Vic Bar + Kitchen is bringing you the best of New American cuisine in a fun modern space with breathtaking views. You can expect a menu full of fresh, local ingredients that culminate in a rich variety of tastes that are sure to delight the palette. Chef Douglas believes in showcasing the food, not the chef, and using every plate to tell a story and from the looks of it he’s doing just that. The menu is complimented by mixologist-inspired cocktails, rotating craft beer taps, and a magnificent wall of wine. You can read more about the restaurant here, see photos on the Victory at Verrado Facebook Page and even check out some coverage on AZFoodieBlog.com or Arizona Central. Whether you prefer to start your day at the breakfast bar (see below for details) or end it with dinner, cocktails and incredible views, we are pretty sure The Vic Bar + Kitchen will be near the top of West Valley restaurant list. 4. Breakfast at The Vic Bar + Kitchen.

Breakfast Bar at The Vic Bar + KitchenWe’re getting hungry just thinking about the breakfast bar at The Vic. With smoothies, fresh cold pressed juices, locally roasted coffee, self-service oatmeal bar, signature burritos, parfaits, muffins, fresh fruit and breakfast sandwiches all available from 7:30 to 10:30 daily this is the perfect place to power-up for a day of exploration at Victory. The juice options pack a particularly nutritious punch and sound delicious too, including the Cleanse, made of beets, carrots, lime, granny smith apples & celery; the Hearty, made of blackberries, blueberries, grapes, plum & ginger; and the Green Monster, made of cucumber, kale, spinach, jalapeno, granny smith apples & celery. Stop by and give it a try – in fact, stop by enough times to try everything on the menu. We’ll see you there.

5. Happy Hours + Live Music.

Live Music Happy HoursWe weren’t kidding when we said there’s lots of stuff going on at Victory these next few months. One of our favorites is the rotating schedule of Happy Hours on The Big Patio and at The Victory Club. We’ve got signature cocktails and plenty of great company to share, but the line-up of live music performances going down on select Happy Hour dates might just be the detail we’re excited about most. Please come hang out with future neighbors and have some laughs, it’s going to be a blast. Check the full schedule of events for Happy Hour dates, times and details.

6. The Big Patio Concert Series.

Big Patio Concert SeriesThe Big Patio Concert Series returns on February 27, with the first concert in the series for 2016 featuring the very unique and talented Come Back Buddy, music of the 50’s. Developed in partnership with the West Valley Arts Council, this concert series is fun for all ages. Bring your family, some chairs, and a bunch of friends to The Big Patio and enjoy an afternoon of music, fun and food from Karen’s Creamery. Concerts are on from 4-6pm at The Big Patio (click for map ). The next concert in the series is on March 19 featuring the Blues infused Rock n Roll of Lee Perreira. Concerts are free and open to the public, but we ask that you leave Fido at home for the safety of your pet and those around you. See you on The Big Patio.

7. Craft Cocktails and Mountain Sunsets.

Craft Cocktails at The Vic Bar + KitchenWe’re tempted to list every craft cocktail on the list currently, but that just wouldn’t do them justice. Inspired by a love for craft ingredients, The Vic Bar + Kitchen’s signature cocktails are an ode to old standards with a modern mixologist’s twist. The list includes drinks like The Huntsman (Maker’s Mark 46, Oloroso Sherry, Nonino Amaro, and Orange Angostura Bitters), Tiger Paw (El Silence Espadin, Domain de Canton Ginger, Carrot, Lime, and Honey), Desert Sage (Astral Tequila, Safe, Cantaloupe, Honey, Lime), Redemption (Redemption Rye Whiskey, Combier Peche de Vigne, and Agave Syrup) and a number of others we can’t wait to try. And, perhaps best of all is the opportunity to enjoy these fine beverages (along with craft beers and a wonderful wine selection) while watching the sun set over the White Tank Mountains. Need we say more?
