A swim park at the heart of Verrado’s Heritage District recently broke ground and is destined to be the social hub of the neighborhood. Construction on the complex will be steady throughout the coming year with completion expected in time for Spring Break 2015.
The design of this first-class amenity pays tribute to the classic community aquatic facilities of a bygone era, but with modern luxuries synonymous with today’s active outdoor lifestyle. Surrounded by a park-like setting with lots of shade and places to play, the Heritage Swim Park will provide the community with even more options for enjoying their leisure time.
Plans for the Heritage Swim Park call for a large resort-style recreation pool and a separate toddler pool, both with zero-entry areas to make them easily accessible for swimmers of all ages and abilities. Adjacent to the toddler pool will be a splash pad offering another option for keeping cool. Cabanas and other shade structures will provide plenty of refuge from the sun along the 7,000 square foot deck area.
Other amenities include a barbecue and picnic area, a fire pit, adults-only ramadas, and space for classic outdoor games like volleyball, horseshoes, and badminton. Wi-Fi, speakers and TV/video screens will enhance the Swim Park’s entertainment factor. It is also a wonderful complement to The Center on Main’s fitness pool.
The Swim Park will be the perfect addition to the Heritage District’s amenity complex that continues Verrado’s rich tradition of unique place making and small-town living.
