The Verrado Kennel Club is hosting a charity walk to support a new neighborhood non-profit, Community Paws. Proceeds will be used to purchase a microchip scanner for our community, so they can return lost Verrado pooches to their humans more quickly. The organization also provides assistance to pet owners who incur hardships as well as offering supplies to local rescue centers.
This will be a fun filled day for the whole family, so lace up your sneakers even if you don’t have a pooch to put on parade. With three walk options ranging from half a mile to a mile and a half, there is truly something for everyone. There is even a route for bikes, strollers and wheelchairs. Dancing dogs, a K9 unit, food, face painting, games and prizes will round out the day of fun on Main Street starting at 9:00 a.m.
Community Paws is a proud partner of the Verrado Kennel Club and member of Verrado’s philanthropic Giving Tree program. Registration for the day is $30 per family and includes a grab bag chock-full of coupons and goodies. For more information, please visit CommunityPaws.org.
