Verrado has a bit of a reputation. Word is out that we know how to host exceptional community events. If any Verrado celebration has helped to set that bar, it’s Founder’s Day.

This annual weekend-long celebration of all-things Verrado includes special traditions that bring neighbors together—from cocktails to competitions and from picnics to performances, there’s a little something for everyone.

But year over year, the Founder’s Day event that hits on all cylinders across our community is Saturday’s Block Party on Main Street. We are talking family-friendly games and activities, talented performances by aspiring singers and dancers in the Resident Variety Show, and last but certainly not least exceptional musical experiences with top-notch artists.

It’s true. Over the last decade plus, we’ve had some amazing artists on Verrado’s Village Green Stage. From crowd-pleasing live shows like the B52s in 2005 to big swing dancing acts like Big Bad Voodoo Daddy in 2010, and from contemporary artists Steven Page and Sugar Ray to chart-topping talents like Rick Springfield and Rachel Platten in recent years, the Village Green has hosted some serious rock stars.
