Verrado’s Annual Homecoming Celebration

Verrado 2012 HomecomingPlans for Verrado’s annual homecoming are taking shape. Mark your calendars for the parade and block party on Saturday, Oct. 11 that kicks-off the week-long celebration.

Verrado High school spirit will proudly be on display as student, parents, staff, and alumni get spectators pumped up for the upcoming homecoming football game. The parade is from 10 to 11 a.m. and will travel along Main Street, Village Street, and Market Place. Arrive early so you can stake out your spot to get the best view.

Immediately following the parade is the Homecoming Block Party in Village Green. Food, carnival games, inflatable bounce houses, and performances by VHS Pom and Cheer will keep the party in full swing until 2 p.m.

The Homecoming Game is Friday, Oct. 17. Get psyched for the football game versus Sierra Linda at the tailgate party from 5 to 7 p.m. The game begins at 7 p.m. where the Verrado Vipers are sure to dominate the Bulldogs from Tolleson.

On Saturday evening, students will close out the festivities at the Homecoming Dance from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Main Gymnasium. This year’s theme is Heroes of the Night so come dressed to impress as your favorite Superhero or Villain and make memories with your Verrado High friends.
