Verrado’s most anticipated event of the year, Founder’s Day, is coming up on April 5-7, 2013. The three-day event is packed with festivities to honor the Verrado community’s unique heritage. There is something for everyone – from toasting and mingling to traditions and competitions.
To highlight the event, Verrado’s headline performer for 2013 is none other than Barenaked Ladies’ Steven Page. The Founding member, lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter for the multi-platinum selling artist has established himself as one of the most popular artists is Canadian music history.
Founded in Ontario in 1988 with Ed Robertson, Barenaked Ladies quickly became known for their lighthearted, comedic performance style and have toured the world many times over, selling out venues all over the globe.
Steven Page has received many prestigious awards and accolades, including 6 Juno awards, 2 Billboard Music Awards and 2 Grammy nominations. BNL recorded numerous hit songs, including “One Week,” “The Old Apartment,” “Pinch Me,” “If I Had $1,000,000,” “Brian Wilson,” “It’s All Been Done” and many more.
After spending 20 years with BNL, Steven Page left the band in 2009 to pursue a solo career. He released his solo album Page One in 2010 to widespread critical acclaim, and continues to perform his signature live shows for fans all over North America and beyond.
Steven Page’s April 6 show with his band at Verrado will mark one of his first U.S. shows in 2013 in support of his next solo album (to be released later this year). You won’t want to miss the debut of some of Steven Page’s new material, along with some classic favorites.
The Village Green stage is going to rock on Saturday, April 6.
