Verrado Coffee Company might already be open for business, but we all know it’s not official until there’s a party. So, the folks at VCC invite you to come celebrate Coffee & Community at their Grand Opening celebration on Saturday, October 11th from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Along with $2 drink specials on Fall-favorites like Iced Pumpkin Chai and Hot Mocha Café au Lait, the event will feature live music, coffee tastings, a farmer’s market and educational sessions on dog training and therapy dogs at Verrado Dog Park.
Verrado residents will also have the chance to mix it up with future neighbors at the Verrado Open House event happening the same day. Click here for more details on the Open House.

Verrado Farmer’s Market: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
After fueling up with a cup of Verrado Coffee Co. Signature Blend you can get your fill of local organic produce and eggs at the Verrado Farmer’s Market. If sweets are more your style, you’ll enjoy perusing the variety of other local vendors offering up delicious, home-made treats.
Live music by Greg Anderson: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Start your Saturday out right by enjoying some tunes by local favorite Greg Anderson. Greg’s repertoire includes coffee house favorites, instrumentals, reggae classics, country songs and jams from The Eagles and Jimmy Buffet to name a few. The set will be from 8:00 to 11:00 AM.
Coffee Tasting & Education: 9:30 AM & 10:30 AM
Interested in learning more about coffee? Stop by the Coffee Company at 9:30 for a tasting session with Shana McGrath from Espresso Italia who will reverse engineer the Verrado Coffee Blend. She will be taking the blend apart and discussing each aspect of the four coffees in the blend, why their Roast Master has chosen them, and the individual characteristics of each coffee. Shana will then provide a sample of each roast brewed independently. To cap it all off, you’ll learn how all four of them come together in the VCC Signature Roast and what to expect for taste and feel from the coffee.
Dog Training Demonstration: 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM
Open to some advice on training Fido? Come check out an educational, entertaining, friendly and efficient dog training demonstration by the Team at Total Dog!. During the session their professional trainers will discuss the best in contemporary dog training methods. You’ll learn about their innovative system that is predicated on the individual needs of the dog and owner. Most importantly, they’ll be discussing how to make dog training fun, easy and productive.
Therapy Dog Talk: 11:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Join Verrado Kennel Club K9 therapist Maori as she and her owner Andy Slack share with you their experience as a Therapy Dog and owner. The event will take place from 11:00 to 11:30 AM at the Dog Park, where you’ll hear all about how the team provides comfort to individuals in hospitals and shelters, Andy and Maori can’t wait to show you what makes them such a great team.
Live Music by Scott Hallock: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Follow up on a morning full of coffee, learning and laughing by enjoying sounds of always-entertaining Scott Hallock from 11:00 to 2:00OPM. Scott is an acoustic guitarist/singer/songwriter who plays both original music and covers acoustic folk, bluegrass, rock, country, tropical rock, reggae and alternative. To add to the fun, you’ll have a chance to grab fresh produce and other goodies from the Farmer’s Market all day, along with checking out over 50 beautiful new homes from nine community homebuilders during Verrado’s Open House the same day.
