Verrado Elementary School’s Commitment to High Quality Education

At Verrado, excellence in education is a cornerstone of the community. Starting from a young age, students at Verrado Elementary are shaped into the best and the brightest students through innovative use of teaching and technology that extends far beyond the classroom.

The Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) is responsible for statewide assessments of students enrolled in Arizona Public School and measures student proficiency in writing, reading, mathematics and science. AIMS recently designated Verrado elementary as a Grade “A” school and is among the highest ranked schools in the state of Arizona.  Verrado School - Buckeye Elementary School

Not only are the students at Verrado Elementary School excelling – the staff is also top-of-the-line. Verrado Elementary currently has four National Board Certified Teachers on staff as well as eight teachers who are advanced candidates awaiting final certification. There are three level one Wilson certified teachers on staff, two of whom are currently pursuing level two designations as certified teachers. Additionally, there is one Arizona Master Teacher on staff.

Verrado Elementary School is the first in the district to incorporate Professional Learning Communities (PLC), Positive Behavior Support (PBIS), and Response to Intervention (RTI).

Students at Verrado Elementary School have a variety of class offerings throughout the school day including Spanish, Theater, and Fitness courses, which were funded through tax credit donations. Six special area classes are also taught throughout the week including Art, Music, PE, and Media/Tech.
