Life at Verrado is exceptional. Our neighbors enjoy trips to the local market to pick up farm-fresh groceries and fine wines, spending afternoons at the park or pool, and riding bikes through the tree-lined neighborhoods and trails. But what we really love is a great party.

Among the most anticipated events of the year is our signature Founder’s Day celebration. It’s a special time that highlights the connections among families and neighbors who call Verrado home. April 4-6 we celebrate 10 years of heritage and traditions during the weekend-long series of events that include a Friday night cocktail party, a Saturday morning run and breakfast, a block party on Saturday night, and community picnic on Sunday.

If you’ve ever considered calling Verrado your home, then we invite you to experience the fun for yourself at the Block Party on Main Street at Village Green on Saturday, April 5. Verrado’s biggest party of the year begins at 5 p.m. with games, activities, and the Resident Variety Show hosted by Anderson Institute of Music. You’ll see first-hand what is to love about our community as we laugh, play, and applaud our neighbors.

At 8 p.m. party-goers will put their hands together for Grammy award-winning and top-40 hit artist Rick Springfield. Here’s your chance to sing along to iconic hit songs like “Don’t Talk to Strangers,” “I’ve Done Everything for You,” and everyone’s favorite, “Jessie’s Girl,” as they are played live and in person by the legend himself.

Advance tickets are not required for this all-ages block party celebration. All you need are your dancing shoes and community spirit. Grab a bite to eat at one of our dining establishments on Main Street, the Bashas’ deli, or from the food vendors in the park.

The Verrado Founder’s Day Block Party is hosted by the Verrado Assembly with our community partners whose mission is to foster unique and outstanding opportunities for social and civic engagement. Rick Springfield is brought to you in partnership with Verrado’s Victory District, a new 55 and older neighborhood designed to feed an endless passion for life, exploration, and learning.

With all the fun in store for you at the 9th Annual Verrado Founder’s Day Block Party, we have a feeling you’re going to want to become a Verrado neighbor, too.
