Mike and Bobbi Adler retired from high-pressure jobs in Napa—he in the wine and spirits industry, and she supporting the food and beverage team for a high-end resort—to move closer to their siblings.

On their fourth day in Arizona, they came to Victory and said: “This is it!”

“We loved everything about Victory. We loved the tree-lined streets. We loved the homes. We loved the lot we picked,” says Bobbi. “We also found it refreshing and exciting that the community was new and growing, and that we could be some of the first people to live here and to help shape the community.”

Perhaps most important, the active lifestyle in Victory is just what the Adler’s craved. They wanted to get involved.

In Napa, the Adler’s would see friends maybe once a month, but they longed for the everyday interactions with neighbors and friends they now have in Victory. In Napa, their social calendar lived and breathed wine, and they delighted in the diversity of social opportunities beyond wine in Victory.

“We walk down the block for a chat over wine. We golf right in our community. We shop just down the hill on Main Street. And I feel privileged to be able to share my creative passion with others in our community,” says Bobbi. “We pinch ourselves almost daily because we are so lucky that we get to live here.”

An artist at heart, Bobbi has had a long affair with the arts. Growing up she and her twin sister would design and sew their own clothes. In high school she focused on art and went on to study and work in fashion, designing her own clothing line and later a purse collection. Most recently, she created her own water color greeting card line featuring cats, dogs, and butterflies.

Since moving to Victory, Bobbi has been instrumental in shaping and leading the creative arts programming in Victory. She has shared her creative expertise by teaching color theory, palette knife, and acrylic painting classes. In fact, it’s Bobbi’s impressionistic pieces that hang on the walls in Arts with a View. She also helped organize our first resident art show, Dess-art in November 2016, and she lends her artistic skills to many community events, including CRUSH and Lanakila Luau décor.

The Adler’s never thought they would live in a 55+ community, but here they are. And they are loving it.

Says Bobbi, “We are having the time of our life. Victory is the best community and the people are so wonderful. These aren’t just our neighbors, they are our family.”

Adds Mike, “The views aren’t bad either. At sunset, it looks like Phoenix is on fire. That’s something we appreciate each and every day.”

Resume Highlight

Bobbi graduated Suma Cum Laude with a degree in fashion from LA Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise (FIDM). During her tenure at FIDM, she designed and produced a 55-piece fashion line under the brand Street Smartz by Bobette that was sold in high-end boutique hotels and resorts. Later she designed and produced unique purses crafted from animal hides under the brand name Pursuasions.
