SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 21 • 10am to 6pm • THE BIG PATIO IN VICTORY
Victory is off and running and we’re ready to share the excitement with all of you. After hanging tight through over 50 weeks of things to do while you wait for Victory, we are thrilled to share that your wait is officially over.
Although we had a very fun and successful First Dibs sales event back on January 10th (you can watch a video and see some news coverage here), the celebration welcoming Victory to Verrado isn’t even close to over. In fact, The Victory District’s official Grand Opening is Saturday, February 21, 2015.
Along with touring Victory’s 11 brand-new model homes, you’ll have the chance to hang out on the Big Patio, see the golf playground at Victory, eye up the future site of the Victory Club, listen to some great live music and much more. If you came out to Victory First Dibs in January, we encourage you to come back for more fun, more time in the models and another opportunity to get to know the hometown community of Verrado.
For any first-time Victory visitors, we can’t wait to show you what the community of Verrado has to offer, while showing you a great time at the Big Patio and Victory Model Neighborhood. You’re in for a seriously fun day and another chance to become one of the original, trailblazing residents of Victory at Verrado.
Still on the fence? Here’s some details on the Grand Opening that should make joining us an easy decision:
11 New Model Homes
We know you’re anxious to see what Victory’s four respected home builders have to offer, so come on out and explore the model park featuring 11 brand new floor plans from Standard Pacific Homes, T.W. Lewis by David Weekley Homes, Lennar and Maracay Homes. The plans range from 1,500 to 3,400 square feet and feature tons of thoughtful design details, flexible options, architectural styles and a wide range of prices to suit your needs. We think you’re going to love what you see.
Free Hummer Tours to The Victory Club
All day Saturday, we’ll be taking guests on a four-wheel drive tour up to the top of the hill where The Victory Club is being built. At around 100-120 feet above the valley floor, it’s an awesome location with an even better view. The Hummer tours will be running all day, so be sure to check it out for your chance to get a first hand look at spectacular views of Verrado, Downtown Phoenix, the White Tank Mountains and more. We promise you won’t be disappointed.
Live Music at Victory & Verrado
It’s not a party without some great tunes, so we’ve got you covered with one of our favorite local bands performing covers of all the classics throughout the day in Victory. And the music doesn’t stop there, Saturday, February 21st marks the second installment of our free Annual Music on Main Series. From 12-3 p.m Verrado welcomes the HiFi’s to the Village Green, featuring a variety of music from R&B to Motown, Top 40, Funk, Rock, Blues, Reggae and Jazz. You can check them out here, or read more about Music on Main in this blog post.
Food Truck Treats
With all the excitement going on during Victory’s Grand Opening event we figured you would end up getting pretty hungry, so rather than dishing out the some same-old same-old grub, you get to pick from a few of the coolest food trucks in town. The Roasted Shallot will be providing a variety of tasty “locally grown, globally inspired” cuisine while Burgers Amore offers a diverse and delicious menu of burgers or sandwiches, and Queso Good delivers a selection of creative quesadillas for your enjoyment — all right inside the model area.
The Big Patio Grill: Finger lickin’ good eats all day
If the fancy food trucks don’t suit your style or you’re just plain hungry enough for both, we’ll be serving up delicious eats on the big patio all day. You’ll get the full Big Patio experience as our chef grills up complimentary tastings your enjoyment all afternoon. In addition to eating some tasty food on the patio, there will also be opportunities to learn a little bit about growing it, with an organic gardening for beginners demonstration being given for your enjoyment. The Big Patio is a place for gathering, eating, learning, socializing and enjoying beautiful views, and we can’t wait for you to experience it. Here’s some more on food at Victory if you’re hungry for details.
Golf tips, tricks and demos with the pros
We know the game of golf has changed, but that doesn’t mean we love it any less than we used to. In fact, we’re extremely anxious to show you just how exciting and fun golf at Victory is going to be. Along with getting a first hand look at the Golf Playground, driving range and putting area behind the Big Patio, you’ll have the chance to talk to our pros and be dazzled by some incredible skills during the glass break challenge. For anyone looking to get in on the action themselves, just hit the Big Patio all day for our putting, short game and flop shot challenges. You can learn more about Victory’s Tom Lehman designed golf course here.
Vines, Wines & Craft Beers
As you know from this On The Road to Victory Video, the Victory District is taking food and drink seriously. Along with having its very own vineyard, Victory will offer unique food and beverage experiences throughout the community – not to mention the excellent variety of options already available in Verrado. So, come and taste some delicious Arizona wines from Alcantera Vineyard and local craft beers from Saddle Mountain Brewing Company while hearing about our plans for the Victory Vineyard and the food revolution at Victory. Think of it like pre-gaming for life at Victory. All proceeds will benefit the West Valley Arts Council.
Fitness, Wellness & Outdoor Fun
Victory is pioneering for a number of reasons, and our approach to fitness, wellness and outdoor fun is no exception. Along with being the first community in the nation to feature an Avid Trails™ system, the Life Performance Training Center in The Victory Club will be the first of its kind, designed on the principles of Applied Functional Science — a fitness and wellness philosophy that is built to prepare your body to handle real-life situations. To make sure you get the complete experience, check out the Fitness Park at the grand opening for sessions on FUNctional Fitness, Yoga for Beginners, Avid Trails and more. It’s just the beginning of being fit and having fun outside at Victory. Here’s some more info to get you on your way.
Art Walk & Fine Art Show
Stroll down the Victory Art Walk in the Victory Model Neighborhood and visit more than twenty local artists on display during the Grand Opening celebration. Whether its paintings, jewelry, gifts or glassware that you fancy, you’ll find something you love at the art walk.
Verrado Farmer’s Market
Celebrate community with local goodness at Verrado’s own farmer’s market from 8am to 12pm in the beautiful Village Commons park. Browse the market and take home something from the wide variety of goods available including things like homemade jams, local honey or our favorite avocado chocolate sauce. This is a great opportunity to chat with Verrado residents about life in the community, too!
