July 2
Bike Decorating Party | 3 – 6 p.m. | The Center on Main
Bring your bike or wagon for a patriotic decorating party at The Center on Main. Cost is $5 per person and includes bike decorations and light refreshments. Space is limited; registration required for a specific time slot. | Register
July 4
Hometown Parade & Patriotic Party | 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. | Main Street & Founders Park
Walk, bike, skateboard, or float your way down Main Street to the fun-filled after party in Founders Park. Friends and family are invited to gather along Main Street to wave flags and watch one of Verrado’s most magical traditions. Enjoy entertainment at Founders Park immediately after the parade with waterslides, our annual Apple Pie Baking Contest, a watermelon eating competition, games and much more. Parade participants must pre-register online by July 3 and then check-in on Main Street between 8:30 and 8:50 a.m. the day of the event. Please note, no motorized vehicles except golf carts are allowed in the parade. Open to residents of all ages and community clubs. Apple Pie Baking Contest | 9 – 11:30 a.m. | Founders Park
If you think you can bake up a delicious apple pie, compete in this annual competition. Register for one of two categories: Adult or Youth (ages 8 – 17). The winner from each category will be announced at the Partiotic Party and will receive a blue ribbon and $50 Bashas’ gift card. | Register
Pool Party | 2 – 5 p.m. | Heritage Swim Park
Join us for a fun pool party with music and family friendly poolside activities to cool off and celebrate Verrado’s Spirit of Independence. No registration required. Heritage Swim Park rules and guest policies apply.
Fireworks Over Verrado | 9 p.m. | Verrado Golf Club driving range
Wrap up the day’s festivities by enjoying a spectacular fireworks display over Verrado. Bring your family, friends and picnic blankets to the driving range at the Verrado Golf Club for a sparkling fireworks display. The fireworks begin at approximately 9:00 p.m., subject to weather conditions. Please note, Verrado Grille will be closed; follow signs in parking lot to fireworks viewing location entrance.
